UIIC Recruitment 2018 – Notification for Assistant Posts

  1. Introduction

UIIC (United India Insurance Company Limited) releases its notification for online registration of its two key posts i.e. UIIC AO, and UIIC Assistant. Currently, we are discussing notification of UIIC Assistant, for which the entrance is held on the month of September. We will be discussing about the summary of important exam dates, exam pattern, admit card application, syllabus, preparation stragtegy, result and cut offs.

We will also discuss other important facts on exam pattern, exam vacancies, result and cut-off on the basis of the events and notification of UIIC exam dates, and as and when releases by the company.

UIIC will start processing the exam entrance process and recruiting its candidates for the post of assistant, once the UIIC exam date is released. Last year in 2017, UIIC released its notification for 696 vacancies for the post of UIIC Assistant, and this year it is again expected to release official notification for UIIC exam by August 2018. The exam is expected to be held in September 2018.

This exam is conducted by United India Insurance Company (UIIC). You should know a few details about UIIC too. It was incorporated as a company on 18th February 1938. Indian operations of 5 Foreign Insurers, 12 Indian Insurance Companies, and 4 Cooperative Insurance Societies besides General Insurance operations of southern regions of LIC of India were combined with United India Insurance Company Limited. UIIC is one of the top General Insurance companies in Asia. UIIC Recruitment 2018 will begin soon and company will be looking to recruit candidates for the post of Assistant for its offices all over India.

  1. UIIC Recruitment 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Am I eligible to appear for UIIC Assistant exam? How to check eligibility for UIIC Assistant 2018?

Before filling the forms for UIIC Assistant, candidates must ensure their eligibility criteria on different grounds failing will result in the disqualification of the candidate at later stage.

Below are a few important points regarding the eligibility:

  • Age limit: Minimum Age: 18 years

Maximum Age: 28 years (as on 30.06.2018).

  1. UIIC Exam pattern

UIIC exam is conducted in three phases Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Regional Language. The prelims exam is qualifying in nature. Only the candidates who will qualify in prelims exam will be short listed for the mains exam. It is mandatory for the candidates to clear both sectional and over all cutoff in order to be get selected for the regional language test. The final merit list of candidates will be based on the marks scored by the candidates in the mains exam, and the regional language test.

UIIC Prelims Exam pattern (Tier I)

The Preliminary Examination (On-line Objective Test) for 100 marks, would be of ONE Hour duration and will consist of 3 sections as follows:

  • The questions for the Prelims test will be objective in nature.
  • Test language will be English and Hindi, except for the test of English Language. The English language test will be made only available in English.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks, hence, you should be extra careful while making the guesses.

UIIC Main Examination pattern (Tier II):

The second stage of UIIC assistant test is the mains exam. This exam is conducted for 2 hours, and is of 250 marks. There are five sections in mains exam. They are as follows:

  • There will be a negative marking of ¼ marks, hence, you should be extra careful while making the guesses.
  • This test again will be in objective questions style.
  • The test language will be conducted in English and Hindi Language, expect for the English language. The English language test will be made completely in English.

UIIC Regional Language Test Exam pattern (Tier III):

The last phase of UIIC assistant exam is the Regional language test. This test will check the Candidate on his / her reading, writing and speaking skills of the regional language of the state of recruitment.

  • As per the previous candidates experience: the candidates were tested though four phases:
    • Phase I Documents verification: Candidates have to submit and verify their documents proof for further process. It is mandatory to produce all the documents, or the candidates failing to submit the documents will not be considered for the recruitment.
    • Phase II Oral test: Candidates will be given any text paragraph sentences in the regional languages. This will test the candidates speaking skills.
    • Phase III Fluency test: Candidates will be given any recent topic or your favourite topic to speak for at least 2-4 minutes. This will check your fluency and speaking ability in the regional language that you will be hired for.
    • Phase IV Dictation test: In this test, the interviewer will dictate and ask you to write the sentences in the regional language. This is to verify that you have the appropriate writing skills on the regional language.
  1. UIIC Apply Online 2018

The first and foremost step towards the exam is the application process.  Following are the steps for UIIC apply online procedure:

  • Before you apply for the UIIC exam, you should have a scanned photograph, scanned signature, valid e mail ID and mobile number.
  • Go to the official United India Insurance Company official website.
  • Click on the ‘apply online’ link to start the application process.
  • Fill up the required details for the registration. This will include your personal details, contact details, and qualification details.
  • You will be provided with a registration id and password, once the registration is completed.
  • Candidates are advised to keep the registration id and password safe for future reference.
  • The second step of the UIIC apply online procedure is, uploading scanned photograph and signature.
  • Once you are done with uploading your scanned photo and signature, click on the ‘submit’ button.
  • The last and final step is payment of the application fees.
  • The payment is to be made online, and the application fee is different for candidates of different categories.

How much salary and perks will I get being an UIIC Assistant.

    • The initial basic pay of a newly employed UIIC assistant is Rs. 14,435. After one year there is an increment for Rs. 840.
    • When the UIIC assistant salary basic pay of a candidate reaches Rs.15,275, for the next two years they get an increment for Rs. 915 till his salary reached Rs. 17,105 and so on.
  • The gross salary of the UIIC assistant is Rs. 23,000 per month in a metro city.
  • The candidates on the post of UIIC assistant, along with basic salary are also eligible for many allowances. These allowances include:
    • Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., which are revised from time to time during settlements

How to check the UIIC Result?

It is mandatory to qualify the regional language test, for the candidates qualifying in the prelims and mains exam. Below here you can read out all the steps to be followed, for checking your result on the official website of the company.

  • Candidates should visit the official website of the company to check their result.
  • A state and category wise list of the result will appear.
  • Click on the link of your state, to check your UIIC result.
  • Look out for your roll number in the list, or alternatively press Ctrl+F and enter your roll number.
  • If your roll number appears on the list then you are selected, and if not then you are not selected.
