The Reserve Bank of India releases notification for RBI Assistant exam every year. In 2017, there were 623 vacancies for this post. Eligible candidates are selected for the post of Assistant Officer 2017. The Examination comprises of an Online Based Examination of two hours all over the Country in two levels- Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination

Minimum educational qualification required is graduation. Age criteria for general category is 20 to 28 years. The Age relaxations apply for reserved categories.  There is a language proficiency test which is conducted after the mains exam. The score in both Mains exam and LPT are considered for the final merit. The test is conducted online and has negative marking as well. Both prelims and mains exam have a criteria of sectional and overall cut off.
